Safe Harbor Beaufort Re-Certified as Clean Marina

Safe Harbor Beaufort was recently recertified as part of the South Carolina Clean Marina program. Located between Charleston, S.C. and Savannah, GA along the Beaufort River, the marina is a popular destination for boaters traversing the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway.

The marina, owned and operated by Safe Harbor since 2019, is in the heart of downtown. It can accommodate around 120 boats of different sizes, with a maximum length of 140 feet, and includes linear docks, 30 moorings, and ample parking. Safe Harbor Beaufort takes pride in maintaining a high level of water quality in the marina.

The area is known for a thriving fishery, abundant marine life, and marina members and guests can observe the active marine life in the Beaufort River and the surrounding area. Safe Harbor Beaufort understands that preserving the health of the marine ecosystem is critical for the longevity of the fishery and the enjoyment of people who visit the area.

Speaking on behalf of the marina, General Manager Marc Bellantone says, “We are committed to being environmentally responsible and minimizing our impact on the environment while preserving the natural beauty of the Lowcountry.”
