The goal of the South Carolina Clean Marina Program is to protect and improve local water quality by reducing pollution from marinas.
This voluntary certification program recognizes marinas, boatyards, and yacht clubs for helping create a cleaner marine environment in South Carolina.

Upcoming Clean Marina Workshop
A clean marina workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, November 12, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. It will be held at St. Johns Yacht Harbor (2408 Maybank Hwy, Johns Island, S.C. 29455).
During the training, instructors will go over the steps to certification, and participants will learn how to get their marinas ready for a site visit. This three-hour class is required for certification or recertification. The registration fee is $100.

Nestled at the southern tip of Sandy Island on the Waccamaw River, where it intersects with Thoroughfare Creek, is Safe Harbor Reserve Harbor (SHRH).
